Raqi (Ruqya Practitioner)

Fitrah Centre is looking for experienced male Raqis to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a growing organisation in Muslim Health.

 

Main Duties

  • Conduct ruqya sessions in accordance to Islamic principles and teachings, assessing clients, administrating treatment and providing appropriate guidance.

  • Maintain detailed, confidential records of client sessions.

 

Applicant Requirements

  • All candidates must be aged 18 or over. 

  • Knowledge of Islamic ruqya practices.

  • Experienced in performing ruqya — candidates must demonstrate a clear history of practice.

  • Satisfactory level of Quran recitation (tajwid)

  • Good communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, calmness, and professionalism in sensitive situations.

  • Commitment to confidentiality.

  • Ability to work alone and on your own initiative.

Application Requirements

Your CV or cover letter must include:

  • How long you have been practising ruqya.

  • Where you have performed ruqya (centres, mosques, private sessions, etc.).

  • Any formal or informal training you have received.

  • Details of your methodology and practice.

  • Any additional relevant experience (community work, counselling, Islamic studies, etc.).

Preferences

  • A referral letter or endorsement from an Islamic centre, mosque, or community leader confirming your ruqya experience and character is highly valued and will significantly strengthen your application.

  • Experience in counselling, mental health support, or arbitration. 

  • Ongoing or previous study of the traditional Islamic sciences.

  • First Aid training.

In addition to duties outlined above, the successful candidate may be required to undertake additional or other reasonable duties as necessary to meet the needs of our organisation.

Working hours are flexible; however, we place particular value on availability between 11:00 – 18:00 on weekdays, and especially on weekends. We are ideally seeking a commitment of 2–3 days per week.
